Spitzer on Ed Shultz
Says the main event was NY23 and the Palin posse and their RW agenda were rejected.

1. I know he may not be a saint..but I admire and respect his intelligence
and at this point, he can say what he really thinks.

2. I love seeing Spitzer out and about
It means he's not letting that set up ruin his life, and that's a good thing.

While he was a big, fat hypocrite in the way he went after prostitution while he was using the services, he's one of the best friends we have when it comes to reining in Wall Street.

4. If diaper dave can stay in the senate
I think Spitzer should get back into politics. I know what he did was sleazy, but if we used the same standards to judge all politicians, we probably not get enough to make a quorum or whatever it is called in the senate.

5. Ditto
They screwed him over because he knew what was going on. That said he gave them the opportunity.

I'm glad he's making a comeback, why should we be be ashamed or embarrassed about hypocrisy when the reTHUGs certainly aren't.

agree with Spitzer!

<snip>

"I love political geography and political history. So, something seemed out of line when I recently read diaries on several sites regarding the soon-to-be vacancy of New York's 23rd Congressional District, made possible by the appointment of John McHugh to become Secretary of the Army -- several diaries mentioned that the district hasn't been represented by a Democrat in a quarter century or so. Perhaps parts of the district haven't elected a Democrat in 25 or so years, but it seemed to me that most of the district hasn't been Democratic-held since much earlier times. I decided to do a little research.

silver spring's diary :: :: It turns out that NY-23 is a true political anomaly. It is one of only two remaining districts in the United States where at least part of the district has not been represented by a Democrat since 1852 (the other is Pennsylvania's 16th District which includes Lancaster County, most of which has not been represented by a Democrat since 1830. Tennessee's 2nd District last elected a Democrat in 1852. Btw, there no longer are any comparable Democratic-held districts; all have gone Republican at least once since 1850, although a few in Texas held out until the DeLay redistricting of 2004.)"
