why so many liberal talk show hosts allow mouth-breathing, hate-spewing pieces of shit so much air time? I love Ron Reagan, but he had a particularly vile man on the phone and he just let him go on about how 'abominable' gays were. It was unfuckingreal. It hurt. It hurt and I'm heterosexual. It doesn't matter. I can't imagine how much that would hurt someone who is gay and has struggled with that all of their lives because there are too many people like that vile, despicable man out there. I'm sick of liberals being so nice. Free speech is great, but I draw the line at ignorant hate spew like I heard today driving home from work. And as for putting the civil rights of human beings to a vote - absolutely not! Hell, if we put a vote to reinstate Jim Crow, how many states would pass it? The majority does not have a right to rule if that rule means the minority is denied their basic human rights. :mad:

The audience for these shows is pretty obviously made up of liberals, so I agree that allowing the hate filled right wing people on reinforces to the audience that this is what we are dealing with. I know it is painful, but it also serves to strengthen resolve. Unlike the right wing shows who rarely allow liberal guests on or if they do, they cut them off, scream over them, or do all manner of stupid crap, liberal hosts are not afraid that the points made by a right winger might sway their audience. Liberals rely on argument, which is frustrating sometimes but ultimately better. Right wingers rely on emotion and screaming to ensnare their audience. They are afraid that if a liberal is left to speak, that the simple minds of the average conservative listener might be swayed.

4. We are perpetual doormats

They say the most vile things and move on to the next hateful thing. We say the truth and they demand we apologize, and we do.
Personally, my civility is at the end. I don't care if Beck had appendicitis. I seriously wouldn't care if he dropped dead on stage. I wouldn't walk across the street to glance at his dead skull or pour piss out of a boot if he was on fire. I wouldn't cause him to be harmed but if it was at the hand of fate or God or whatever, then so be it.
They are vile and evil men and whatever demise might find them is not good enough nor is it quick enough to assuage the damage they have done to this country.
