3. Va Dems didn't have a choice.
They had a Dem who campaigned against Progressives and was essentially going after the Republican vote, and a genuine Republican. So they stayed home.

5. Va Dems DID have a choice - a ConservaDem or a RightWingRepuke
They could have gone for the lesser of two evils - but didn't.

McDonnell has a lousy environmental record, a horrid record on womens right to choose, and is probusiness/anti-labor all the way. I voted against him.

"Given a choice between a Republican or a Democrat who acts like a Republican, the voters will choose the Republican every time."

Now, that's a lesson the Democrats may want to take away from this year.
