6. That's the Republican way!
Apparently we here in NJ didn't learn from the Christie Todd Witless debacle.

16. I think about every 10-20 NJ has to put a repub in the governor house
just to remind themselves how totally messed up the state is and the republicans can't fix it either.

Honestly, as long as this idiot doesn't fuck with choice or civil rights, I think NJ can survive 4 years. Else there is plenty of room for ya here in Delaware.

17. You're right, we'll survive, though I don't have to be happy about it!
I have a feeling I'm stuck here in NJ for a while, taking care of family will see to that.

18. There's always room for you in Delaware
My college roomie was from NJ outside of NY. They still love New Jersey but would never ever move back. They have a beautiful home in Delaware in a wonderful neighborhood and reasonable property taxes. If they were to sell that and move back to New Jersey they would have a rundown house in a bad neighborhood. They know better.

33. Our neighbor moved to Delaware just because of the taxes here in NJ.
We're looking to move in 3-4 years ourselves into either PA or DE, and we figure the savings in taxes would be a LEAST two months house payments a year...

it would be like you never left! Except we don't have the Jersey accents.

4. Another Republican saying he's going to cut spending w/o naming a single thing.
I remember McCain talking about the scalpel then the hatchet, etc. but FOR ONCE I'd like to see them NAME one thing they'd cut (except for those 'evil' public schools)...

9. NJ isn't a hard line conservative state
and if he tries to govern from the hard right, he's not going to last long.

He's drunk with victory today. The hangover of political reality will start to set in a few weeks from now when he realizes he wasn't elected king.

13. Maybe make
"them an offer they can't refuse"...you know like his cousins the Genevosa family...he is a really faithful family member. He shows up for all the meetings and gatherings.

First things to go social services, cuts to schools, hospitals, and the building and repairing of anything to do with service. Give a ways to big business and tax cuts to the rich and insurance companies who put him there.

15. I Hate It When Republicans Are Happy
They're just so darn smug. I had one Republican friend crowing about Christie, talking about how she's in love with him and hopes he runs for President in 2012. I was like, THAT Goober? PLEASE run him for President in 2012!

19. Smug about what - just on a few isolated things
They are all trying to spin the NY-23 as a non-factor. Guess what - Bill Owens will work more directly with Obama and that was a very safe republican district.

They pick & choose their smugness.
