1. Ah, the "liberal" media....
Can you imagine the media saying it was about Bush in 2001 when Dems won the governor races in NJ and VA?

2. The M$M wants to see a viable GOP.
This reminds me of a coach I knew in High School. He knew his team would demolish the opposition. At the pep rally before each game he would build up how great and tough the opposition was and how this would be a hard fought game. Never did he run down or belittle the opposition like most football coaches I encountered over the years.

With two weak candidates for Governor I was not surprised at Democratic loss. I expected the score to be 4 losses this morning for Democrats this morning. I am in shock this morning and am delighted that the Alaskan twit has managed to engineer another Republican setback. Given time even the M$M will have to admit what has happened, it does not work to belittle the opposition a lesson the M$M will learn when they really look at what happened.

3. Not sure how they did the math
but being the chief executive of a state certainly seems more important than just one of 435 representatives.

4. Apparently, the same people doing the math on DU.
Based on some of the reactions here, one would think that the Republicans won Congress and the presidency back last night.

13. We had 33% turnout in our small town.
Edited on Wed Nov-04-09 03:23 PM by wroberts189

The pubs won big although we did get a few Dems. in.

Some pubs ran unopposed.

I really wonder why I get my significant other to go out and vote ... our two straight Dem votes have never mattered.

On the bright side it was close ...within a hundred or two. Why are people so fooled by these people who just lie and lie and lie?
