My humble opinion on last nights elections!

I've just been listening to the useless blather on Morning Joe so I have to put my 2 cents in.

First off New Jersey. This is NOT about the Obama, the Democrats, the economy or anything else. It's about GOLDMAN SACHS! Corzine could have spent a million dollars and he still would have been seen as the man from GOLDMAN SACHS! And anybody who thinks different should go to google and put in Goldman Sachs+bonuses....

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=goldman+sachs%2Bbonuses&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

2 million hits!

Message to the WH GET THOSE FINANCIAL REFORMS THROUGH!

Virginia what can you say! DUH! I find it funny that Virginians are worried about the economy since they LIVE OFF SOCIALISM! They're doing better than most states so I reject this claim. What I think Virginians did was try to send a message to the WH that says... DO NOT CUT OFF OUR WELFARE/DEFENSE CONTRACTS!

What the WH needs to do is go through all the welfare/defense contracts and CUT the ones we don't need and do Virginia FIRST! Really how sick is everybody with people on socialism bitching about their taxes. People on socialism in this country need to hear ONE message. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY TAXES GET OUT!

Hoffman and Owens. The MSM is spinning already that the conservatives lost because they split the vote. Not surprising since the MSM has worked to bring back the Republicans since the very first day of the Obama Presidency. We need to counter this spin and encourage the teabaggers to attack their moderates.

Our low turnout. NO RED MEAT! We need red meat throwers and if we can't get our pols to do it hire someone else. Also letting Republicans screw up the stimulis/healthcare and energy is going to stop any economic recovery and the WH NEEDS TO SAY SO ON TV! Obama needs to do it. It's an outrage that the very same people who killed the economy in the first place are now blaming us.

Maine. Cudos to you guys. Awesome effort awesome gotv. The gay marriage activists need to keep this up. Sure they didn't win this time but they will!

Garamendi. Straight talk loyal Dem. GEE maybe this will work. Bluedogs should pay attention because
there's nothing in the middle of the road but yellow stripes and dead armadillos!

Have a nice day!

PS. The conservatives need to be demonized 24/7 starting NOW to get ready for the 2010 election. Being nice DOESN'T WORK! I suggest pointing out the fact that they are pathological liars. Because it's TRUE!

4. Three additional thoughts
The Conservative and GOP lost in NY by embracing the fringe.

Christie won in NJ at least partly because he ran away from it.

Let's not say the above too loudly, in case the GOP starts to catch on that independents don't love Beck as much as they think they do.

5. NY-23 having been republican for >100 years is now held by a Democrat. Now that means
something to me. It means we are still making progress, the country is changing.

11. I don't think so. It means that the Republicans screwed up very badly.
And they did. Let's hope they keep it up.

13. I think that election was more about the electorate gettnig a bit scared by the crazy conservatives
I think moderate republicans looked at how the hard right was trying to skew a race and got a bit scared.

People like to talk tough but they don't always tend to elect tough and after 8 years of Bush, they got a good idea of what hard right was about and they didn't like it.

6. The fact that it was about Goldman Sachs should give us pause.
Obama has developed quite a cozy relationship with people from that company. If Goldman Sachs is kryptonite, then he had better start doing things differently when it comes to overseeing the economy.

18. Golden Sachs is the 800 pound gorilla in the room. I can't believe Christy

didn't run ads about that. It may mean that the GOP is saving that for Obama. I can hear it now. "Is he the President of the United States or Goldman Sachs?" They're probably saving that for 2010!

The WH should really be worried about that. It's a killer!

8. From my chair here in Arkansas (where yesterday was NOT election day)
my take on the Christie win in NJ is resulting in part on Corzine's negative personal attacks on Chirstie's weight. Way too many overweight people who are going to take offense at that kind negative campaigning.

Bad form, Corzine, b-a-a-a-d form.

10. no need to be humble. All good thoughts. I think that 2 groups should be
scared.

The conservatives should know by now that accepting the Kiss of Palin is deadly to one's cred and future.

More importantly, Blue Dogs better be told (by us) that moving to the right is the one guaranteed way to lose their precious office. Let's make "Deeds" a verb to be used against those Dems who refuse to recognize that a sea change has occurred in America.

15. Goldman Sachs tainted Corzine and Democrats should heed that message overall
if the public perceives that the Democrats aren't tough on financial crimes and bullshit, then it starts to become hard to differentiate between them and the republicans.

while not directly related, i watched a local election that turned against a democrat who tried to play republican using a pro-life stance and it backfired.

17. NY 23rd is the ONLY election that tells us anything NATIONALLY
Edited on Wed Nov-04-09 09:11 AM by Krashkopf
Governors races are about STATE issues, and the Candidate, and the Campaign the candidate runs. In this case even Obama couldn't save a really bad candidate (Corzine) and a candidate who ran a really bad campaign (Deeds).

The NY 23rd was an OUT AND OUT REJECTION of the CONSERVATIVES in a Congressional District that has voted Republican since U.S. Grant was President.

What last nights elections tell us is that if Republicans campaign on "the economy" they have a fighting chance. But, if the crazies are in charge, and they campaign on divisive Conservative "social issues" they LOSE.

THAT is the story. Any suprise that the so-called Main Stream Media is NOT reporting it?!
