WACO - The FBI agent who pleaded no contest to charges that he shot and killed a neighbor's Chihuahua has been fired from his post at the FBI.
FBI spokesman Eric Vasys said in a statement to News Channel 25, "The FBI confirms that Lesley Ledger is no longer employed with the FBI. Personnel actions are matters between the FBI and the employee. As such, the Federal Privacy Act prohibits further comment on these matters."
Neighbors say Ledger shot their pet using a pellet gun back in February 2008. After being shot, the dog ran into a neighbor's yard where it died.
Ledger was sentenced in July to two years deferred probation and 300 hours of community service for the shooting death of his neighbor's pet Chihuahua.
