5. I think it moot...
He won his last election in CT only with something like 70% of the GOP turnout after the GOP nominee refused to drop out despite nothing short of outright begging by the state and national Republican Committees. Joe has no chance of winning in his next election unless he's given the GOP nod because he won't win the Democratic nomination and won't enjoy that kind of support from conservatives in an election where the state GOP runs anybody to the right of him.
