Just saw Eliot Spitzer on TV...
I haven't been on DU much lately or watching MSNBC.com (other life stuff going on), but has he been on TV much lately? I was startled to see him on with Chris Matthews and Pat Buchanon. Brings up those mixed feelings of how psyched I was when he took office and how pissed off I was with him later...

1. He was right about Wall Street and sounded the alarm on predatory lending and Bush Administration.

Just shouldn't have been paying for sex.

He has a column with Slate or Salon now and wrote a very compelling op/ed about breaking up the big banks.

5. thanks - I remember him getting a column and about Wall Street
yes, he was totally right on many things - and I know he was a target - but didn't he expect to be a target? I just can't understand how someone as smart and political as him acted the way he did AND let himself get caught. Sigh.

8. If it wasn't that, then it would have been some other skeleton. Wall Streeters have a lot of money

to throw at perceived threats to their power to destroy them.

9. Spitzer resigned. Vitter, Craig, Sanford? Not so much.

4. Spitzer has been on tv and MSNBC before
Rachel Maddow has had him on her show.

Spitzer is in the process of rehabilitating his image. People are realizing that what Spitzer did hurt him and his family more than the people of New York. The Banksters of Wall Street will do much to rehabilitate Spitzer's image because People are realizing that the Banksters, not Spitzer, f*cked this nation.

There is talk of Spitzer possibly running for New York Comptroller. Personally, I'd like to see him the head of the New York Fed and go after the Banksters.

6. thanks for your reply
I don't have a TV at home, so without keeping up with DU I'm out of touch with TV. Tonight I happen to be where there is TV. I agree, I'd rather see Spitzer regulating the banks than the former-bankers regulating the banks.
