California's 10th District looking great!

As of 10 minutes ago, Lt. Gov. John Garamendi, progressive Democrat, has a handsome lead at over 56% of the vote so far.

The media seem to be ignoring this race, but the California Secretary of State's website is updating regularly: http://www.sos.ca.gov/elect-results/cd10-results.htm

Insiders say it's going to be a big supporter of the Gropinator as a plum for their support.

She took a job in Obama's administration.

4. Replacing a nominal Democrat

Tauscher was the best Democrat we could get in 1996 when she took a the only seat designed to be Republican in the Bay Area.

However, since then it grew more and more Democratic and then it was redistricted to make it even more Democratic, shedding its Republican areas to CA-11 which was a heavily Republican district until Jerry McNerney-D won it in 2006.

Anyway, that's the story with CA-10. Garamendi will be better than Tauscher.
