Howard Fineman, on MSNBC, calling this a slap to the Obama administration
"this" being Corzine's loss and McDonnell winning in VA.

HOW? These races were virtual ties. McDonnell won by a mere 5% over a WEAK Dem candidate.

AND...a Dem is about to win a Repub seat in NY that's been Repub for, what, 150 years?!

4. Was there any doubt they were going to do that?
If they lost, the media was going to say it was a rejection of Obama.

If they won, the media was going to say that the races were so close because of a rejection of Obama.

5. McDonnell got nearly 60%.
He won pretty handily.

Turnout is so low however, John McCain lost the state and still likely received more votes than McDonnell.

None the less - we need to pass some REAL HCR and get folks back to work ASAP. Do that and the wingnuts got nothing. Cower in the corner like we just been handed our hat and we deserve to be- well - handed our hat...

9. Exactly. The only thing Obama needs to do
is keep working on his agenda, and keep his base engaged. He's gonna need the base to turn out the vote next year. Got to feed The Beast!!!

7. Even Tweety didn't spin it as such
My one problem is, Obama can't campaign for the guy and then play Pontius Pilate about it. His endorsement was rejected even if the voters still like him.

We'll see about District 23. Waaay too early.
