I care about local politics so I have my county's Board of Election site up

2. Depends on the election. For Maine's question 1 (gay marriage) the best is the Bangor Daily News

(Keep in mind that ME's initiative is whether or not you want to reject the same-sex marriage law currently on the books; thus a "no" vote is a vote for equality and SSM, just like with California and Prop 8) :)
