1. Yes. I took my kids with me. Got to vote for my neighbor and his son
for tax collector and city council. Both Dems and great people.

6. I didn't.
This is the first election I've missed since I was eligible to vote in 1974, but the only thing on the ballot is for City Commissioner, and the candidate is running unopposed. My DH has pneumonia, so I'm taking care of him instead.

5. "City stuff" affects you alot. They are only local offices, but you live there,
after all.
Glad you voted and reported it.

7. Not very good choices
One guy running for re-election never shows up to council meetings. The other guy running is very young and has run for mayor already after being in town less than 6 months and lost. Now he is running for council even though he has never attended a city council meeting in his life.

9. We just got home from voting here in Cornelius NC
My wife and I took our 6 year old and explained the process. He came up to the machine with me and I showed him how to vote. Our mayor is running unopposed and we had to choose 5 Board of Commissioner members and 1 for the Board of Education

There was no line and about 5 other people in the room. Afterward we took our son over the kid's voting area and he got to fill out a paper ballot and put it in the ballot box. He got an "I voted Sticker" and an "I voted" stick pin.

Pretty simple and straight forward electronic touch screen voting machine ballot

10. Same here
There really was nobody in front of me, just sallied right to the table to sign the register, and no wait for the booth. In and out in less than five minutes.
