For What it's Worth --
No, not the Buffalo Springfield song. Here's an e-mail I sent to my Congressman, Brad Ellsworth, about health care:

I am very concerned about the health care debate. A few years ago, I worked for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, now Wellpoint, in Indianapolis. I could tell you many stories, but that would take too long. I could draw only one conclusion from this experience: Profit-driven insurance companies are not in the business of ensuring that Americans get access to the health care they need. It's that simple. They are in the business of making profits by denying care that policyholders pay for through their premiums. That is why only a single-payer system -- or, at the very least, a strong public option -- will do. Anything else is just a giveaway to greedy insurance companies. Please support single-payer or a stong public option.

Thank you for your time.
