NY 23
I voted this morning in NY 23. Alot of older voters @ 9:30am. Anyway, just outside the 500 feet marker of the polling place were 3 people w/ Hoffman signs. A man in a pick-up truck pulling up to vote yelled at them from his truck that they were illegal. I think he thought they were too close to the polling building. He got out of the truck walked toward them (still yelling) and told them to put their signs down and leave. I didn't stay to see what happened next. Excitement in our town.

1. In a pickup even! That's a good sign maybe.
Good luck, NY 23, tho I hear the Democrat is no Ted Kennedy.

2. Eight years of rethuglican crime and corruption will do that.

People are fed up with the goppers. I would have given that
man a round of applause if I had been there to see it. Even
if Hoffman sails under a different banner, if he walks like
a duck ...

3. NY23 is the only one with a ghost of a chance for an upset
and the election going to a conservative Democrat. I think NJ and VA will be GOP wins, but the good news is that they'll be a lot narrower than the GOP wants or needs. We'll have to prepare ourselves for a lot of wingnut crowing over them, anyway.

The real problem is that this is an off-off year election and few people are motivated to vote unless their wingnut church has stuffed a major bug up their asses about nonexistent issues.

4. we win either way - either we take the seat

or the conservative idiot wins and the far right wing gets even more excited about Palin.

There is just no down side in this race.
