Lose any luggage in Phoenix? Police: Couple stole thousands of bags from Phoenix airport
PHOENIX – Two people have been arrested for allegedly stealing thousands of baggage items from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

According to a Phoenix Police report, an investigation was launched after thousands of bags were reportedly stolen from the airport last month.

----

Police served a search warrant on the house and reportedly found hundreds of bags inside overnight.

Keith King, 62, and Stacy King, 38, were arrested for offense burglary and tampering with evidence.

----

Neighbors told ABC15 that Keith King seemed suspicious to them because he would come and go late at night with a horse trailer filled with items, but he never had horses.

1. Alert police officer, thank you. Now, guys, how about the rest of airport security? TSA????
"Phoenix Police spokesman Detective James Holmes said the arrests were made Monday night, three weeks after an alert police officer first observed suspicious behavior near one of the airport's luggage carousels."

The thieves don't seem to be all that smart. They just had an easy opportunity. Does anyone remember when someone checed your bags with your luggage slips when you left the baggage area? They did for a while in the 80's. Huge mistake not to, huge. But that would cost some money.
