Shall we start the media spin?
"This is clearly an indication of the change in the tide of support in the country against Obama"
"What this tells us is that we are a center right nation"
"This result tells the tale for a difficult 2010 for Democrats"

feel free to add your own....I don't watch TeeVee much, so won't subject myself to it.

1. "This election proves that most Americans are IDIOTS. Instead of reflecting
their anger toward the party RESPONSIBLE for this mess, they are directing it at the party trying to FIX this mess.

Americans have a very short attention span, and seem to have forgotten that this current mess is rooted in REPUBLICAN POLICIES. The recession officially began in December 2007, over a year before Bush left office. Economic indicators were showing a downward economic trend many months before that, yet Bush and the GOP lied to America, telling us that everything was OK.

Prove Americans are STUPID IDIOTS today. Take out your anger on the folks trying to fix the mess. Reward those who created it. :eyes:

(This is the story that will never be spoken today, I dare say.) :(

2. OR......Republicans, Conservatives and the media were stunned
today as a large unexpected number of Democrats turned out to vote in the polls. Governor Corzine took New Jersey by a slim margin, Creigh Deeds also won by a hair due to the large Democratic and Independent voter turnout. Surprisingly, the NY23 contest was the stunner and even shocking to Democrats as Owens won by a slim margin. Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin had no comments and the latest news from Glen Beck's offices are that he inadvertently swallowed his tongue. Conservatives along with Rush Limbaugh say this would not have happened without the dastardly action by "that gawd-awful Italian woman" who endorsed Owens. It's all her fault and she will pay.

In the meantime Democrats were quite jubilant and are awaiting an invitation from Morning Joe with Pat Buchanan on Wednesday morning. Stay tuned...
