Pat Buchanan is counting on Dems not to show up at the polls today.
That was the one note he was hitting on this morning, discouraging turnout. This is what they are hoping for.

are smart enough to form effective numbers that work together

7. But all indications are that they will sweep the elections. Extreme idiocy wins more votes.

11. Not a lost cause at all. High turnout (for an off year election) at my polling place
this morning.

12. Low turnout in my Fairfax County polling area which is in a Democratic part of the county
Not a good sign.

My area is pretty Democratic leaning (to where there were very few McDonnell signs) and there was no-one at the polling station earlier.

18. But it motivates party sentiment among those who do care about it.
In the case of VA, younger voters and black voters are not very motivated. That's why the president when to the Hampton Roads area, to gin up some support for a rural white guy.

10. This is a truism. Democrats cannot be depended on to go and
vote. This is how Republicans were able to rise to power
and pretty much control things.

More than half the country never votes. Long long ago
they were given the impression that their vote does not
matter. Democrats when in office often just continue
Republican Policies.

19. That's why I have been posting "get out and vote" stuff starting last week -
I'm hoping to annoy at least one or two people to actually vote instead of just complaining here.
