Election Day Predictions
Hoffman wins in NY 23 by 5%

Corzine wins by 2% in New Jersey

McConnel by 11% in Virgina

Corzine could lose if Dagget's supporters don't actually vote for Dagget on election day.

1. The one to watch is New Jersey
Polling is all over the place.

Disillusioned Democrats will stay home and Christie will win.

4. I really hope not - I live next door to New Jersey.
Christie is a real bastard, and New Jersey is bad enough as it is.

Need more Dems to vote-PLEASE don't stay home!!!!
It is important.

7. If I were eligible, I would vote a straight Democratic ticket in NJ.
I really hope I'm wrong in my prediction.

2. Sadly, Jake, if PA runs true to form 70 to 75% of registered voters

won't even bother to show up today.
Local and "off year" elections this year will decide PA's new Supreme Court and Superior Court judges as well as many county and local officials who profoundly affect our lives every day. Yet people ignore these elections and complain about the lousy condition of local government.
EVERYONE HERE:
Please vote today, and if you don't, kindly shut up about the result.

3. I'm driving a van all day in Allentown
Trying to get the vote out. We have pretty coordinated GOTV effort for Lehigh and Northampton County.

Hopefully Jack pulls this off. He's a good man, and redistricting is going to be a bitch.

5. I think Hoffman will lose NY 23.

Not so much due to the voters' political leanings but because they will
regard him as an "outsider" not familiar with that area or their needs.

8. Something intriguing about NY 23 is presence of the conservative 3rd party.
And this was a case where the Republican nominee wasn't radical enough to suit the teabaggers, et al. I really hope conservatives get Ross Peroed into oblivion next year.

6. We may get a GOP sweep which could mean the extreme right is actually winning.
Edited on Tue Nov-03-09 09:24 AM by Kablooie
The idiotic extremism may actually pay off by winning more votes than a more reasoned approach.

It's not about what's best, it's about who can play to an individual's selfishness more effectively.
