7. Many inhouse brands are made side by side with the name brands under contract.
It doesn't necessarily mean inferior quality.

Well, anyway, they used to be. Maybe now they're made in China.

My aunt worked for Levi Strauss.

Penney's 'plain pockets' were Levis without the swoosh on the back pockets.

13. My parents worked for General Foods
and Bird's Eye frozen peas and Kroger frozen peas were the same peas.

Tip: The green beans that fell on the floor became "julienne" beans.


I have a fond memory of all our Christmas presents being wrapped in the outer paper wrapper of Bird's Eye frozen peas! You could never forget that Santa moonlighted on the pea line.
