who watch and enjoy maddow.

imo, she has crossover appeal.

i first became aware of her when she was on that tucker show, and i said "that woman will be a star"

kind of like when i saw natalie portman at like 12 yrs of age in the professional.

it was just THAT obvious.

she is searingly smart, but NOT an egghead. iow, she doesn't try to sound like one (a la cornell west), but is just fucking intelligent, well read, wonkish, and FAIR.

i am in the minority here, in that i think olberman is a clown. i have been waiting for a REAL voice from the left, and she is it.

I've been talking her up on DU, since she was doing the sunrise slot on Air America... I always knew she had star potential! I even liked her with Lizz Winstead and Chuck D (although it made for a crowded conversation)

Our whole family is interested in politics, but she really makes it accessible and relevant to them. We all got hooked last year during the campaign and have been fans since.
