Neocon crackhead Gaffney at Ctr for Security Policy: Cheney is our Churchill
http://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/p18213.xml

I wonder if he's sent Dick a handwritten scented note with the caption "bearer entitled to a blowjob from your secret admirer FG". Sounds like he gets a little weak between the legs when he thinks of Dick.

I was alerted to this tribe by the reports of the "20th anniversary Keeper of the (F)lame Dinner" giving old Dick a podium at which to get turgid. Of course, this is just another outgrowth, so to speak, of the Gaffney/Decter/Podhoretz axis intersecting our lowly dimension from the 9th plane of existence where higher beings know all, and Truly Are (cue it) the MASTER(BATOR)S Of the UNIVERSE!!!!

1. Dick Cheney was a worthless turd who ignored terrorism until after 9-11.
After 9-11, he used terrorism as an excuse to invade an oil-rich country so his business buddies could grab a share of the oil-profits which Saddam would never let American firms get.

The only things he cares about are money and power, and he uses the threat of terrorism to secure both.

3. Churchill would have identified the neocons as the sycophantic felchers they are
and kicked them into silence. The contrast to the candyasses in the Democratic Party, as well as the candyasses in our comfortable lounge culture, who couldn't get it together to shout down the fascists who floated the notion that "liberal" were a slur, is noteworthy.

At the end of WWII, there were Nazis inside and outside the German military who had committed atrocities against British troops and were not brought to justice. Churchill sent folks into Germany to slit their throats. Just by way of illustration. This crop of podgy wannabe fascist losers has some work to do if they want to be as "conservative" as Churchill. Shitasses.

4. "All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice...
"...honor, duty, mercy, hope." I've never heard any of the kind spittle out the snarling smirk of Dick Cheney

8. the Connected tools replaced it with cathartics: 'confident', 'firm', 'trust', 'under control'
Edited on Tue Nov-03-09 10:09 AM by dusmcj
note the difference:

the words Churchill uses are abstract concepts (subversive in itself - we shouldn't think too much, and abstract reasoning leads to hairy palms, socialism and making your mother unhappy). They describe conditions which are desirable for humanity as a whole.

The Connected social engineering codewords by contrast - think of the ones Dubya slung: connected, trust, under control, firm, strong - are words that describe the individual. They personalize the definition of social virtues, with the subtext that if the individual acquires and particularly manifests these qualities then society will be good.

This forgets or more likely deliberately avoids the process of formulating definitions of desirable conditions for society in general. It fails to characterize what the form of the group should be, and only prescribes how its members should behave.

When the Connected did use abstract conceptualizations like 'freedom' and 'justice', they overused them into meaninglessness, and in fact never supplied the other concepts that could make them a reality. Instead, they emptied the public discourse of meaning, by reducing discussion to the zero point of 'good' vs. 'evil'. Without the abstract conceptualizations to make those concrete, those are meaningless.

Churchill's terms denote end goals which are requirements. It is up to us to identify how to get there, but getting there is a requirement. The Connected with Doober as the mouthpiece and his rotted father as scion of the master(bator)s of the universe as the instigator, fail to define the desired end goals (because they can't publicly acknowledge their own slaver goals of exploitation) and instead indulge in the cynicism of prescribing to their fellows whom they consider stupid how they should behave, without describing the end collective condition that that will produce.

1978 - 2008, the conservative revolution: 30 years of theft and lies. Ever hear of the counterreformation ? That's an appropriate historical analog.

9. These are some of America's greatest contributions to the world: Her Lofty Poetries
Mused upon through a span of time; mused to how, and no small feat for a fledgling nation clamoring about for recognition and funding trying to out gold-filigree and embroider the aristocracy of France. So they had to be pretty the words, they just had to. And so some of them they were-so while simultaneously grounded to the earth *and* capable of flapping off like great white birds over the rainbow or wherever, still smelt of whig powder and last night's salon full of rouge and pasted beauty dots if not the blackened moles themselves

Not as Wallace may have cried up on a battlefield before a Hollywood Longshanks, but fungible freedoms and liberties able to grant all such to some and nothing to others, in fact able to rather diminish another's right to even pursue happiness without risking great or sustained quarrel and intrigue and they knew it. They knew, or thought, that some would never, ever, be seen as participants in this elusive, waking dream we so blithely referred to as: America

So they sold it to the reptilian brain where the lines are not so blurred, but where these 'good v. evil' concerns you've mentioned maintain their sheen

The wealthy claim they are the only ones able to understand 'the abstract' and they feel that to be clearly so in that too many never did and were shown the door: Theodore Judah for one round these parts, and Nikola Tesla for another; though it is much easier to do as the issuance of a womb already filled with lush, green rolling hills and wooded clusters dotted with fresh shorn sheep as far as the eye can see through calm, demure, kindly smiles and snifter in hand but you won't need to be a Pendragon, you can be a Spencer and pull off the same trick
