Serious question about using eBay to raise funds for defendants
Let's say that someone on DU is facing charges for a crime that they didn't commit, but needs funds in order to make his or her case stick in court so that the DUer can avoid conviction and jail time. To what extent should eBay auctions be used to help out our fellow DUer? Any boundaries that should be set on such auctions?

Yes, I know that Roeder is slime, but I'm just planting a few seeds...

3. I see the other thread now.
Personally I don't think it is the best avenue.

Why not just setup a paypal account and request donations?

4. One could flood ebay with several hundred small BIN autions.
"Buy support for Mr. ________ defense fund. $5/$10/$15 via Paypal."

5. One could simply setup paypal account and collect funds.
Thus avoiding
a) ebay fees
b) people opposed to the defense fund placing fake bids.

6. Ebay's policy is that it will not allow auctions that benefit somebody charged with or convicted of
a crime.
