Four killed in N.C., suspect sought

MOUNT AIRY, N.C., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Four men were shot and killed in a parking lot in Mount Airy, N.C., Sunday and police said they were searching for a suspect who was armed and dangerous.

Mount Airy Police Chief Dale Watson told reporters Sunday night the four victims -- described as Hispanic males -- were shot just after 2 p.m. EST outside a store that sells satellite dish and cable TV equipment, CNN reported.

"We do have an idea why they were there," he said.

"We don't feel that this was a random event, if that does help put the community at ease," Watson said.

Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene and the other two were taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead, CNN reported.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Marcos Chavez Gonzalez, 29. Watson said Gonzalez was considered "armed and dangerous ... he may be in the possession of an assault rifle."

6. I was working at a Home Depot in Greensboro, NC,
and there was a shootout stalking.

A lady flew into the parking lot, and somebody shot out her back window. She ran into the store, and a man got out of the car following her and came into the store. I didn't see a gun, but I'll bet he had it with him.

Suddenly she ran back to her car and took off. The man came out a minute or two later and left.

Another customer said it started near the store when she apparently cut him off.
