Rushbo would be still spinning Top 40 Oldies as Jeff Christy if it wasn't for his real puppetmasters...folks like Edward McLaughlin who financed the "EIB" network and put the money into getting his cesspool on radio stations. Then there's boooshie "pioneer" Lowery Mayes as well as Tom Hicks of Hicks, Tate & Muse who bought up radio stations through "deregulation"...getting rid of local programming and voices and crammed rushbo on as many signals as they could. He voiced their politics and they all made lots of money...and also a major reason radio is on the verge of bankruptcy. Yep, rushbo's creation was the loss of thousands of radio jobs and the turning of broadcast licenses into stock chips.
