I resent this ad

Don't get me wrong. Sam Putman appears to be a great young man. The ad is an effective ad. Nice looking, clean cut young man speaks out for loving parents. So why do I resent this ad? Because kids shouldn't have to beg for their parent's rights. We shouldn't know who Sam Putman is. He should be out playing football not cutting ads. I resent that our kids, our parents, and the rest of our families have to come before the people on bended knee begging for rights like we are some sort of charity case asking for an extra turkey for Thanksgiving. I don't know if I could have made that ad if I were the parents in that position. I thank them for doing so, but I sure do resent it.

editted to remove misunderstanding as to age of Sam. He is probably 16 or so.

1. I thought you were talking about a child. He looks old enough to
have formed an opinion and speak for it.

2. I didn't mean to mislead and editted accordingly
that said, his ability to form an opinion is irrelevent. I am equally resentful of the fact that 70 and 80 year old parents of these couples have to beg for rights.

6. I call it speaking up, not begging. Everyone needs to speak out. I
feel too few voices, i.e. The Villagers & Their Media, are holding us hostage with their "beliefs" that homophobia is a majority view. When enough people speak out, it will turn the tide.

3. I completely understand what you mean. nobody should have
to beg for rights and rights should never be put up for popular vote.

4. wow unrecommended alreadly
I wonder how any ethnic or religious minority would feel if their kids or parents had to literally beg people to vote for rights. Somehow I doubt we would be seeing unrecommends of a thread having a problem with that. Cowards.
