Made in America--Not dead yet
Edited on Sun Nov-01-09 07:34 AM by yellowwood
I bought a beautiful "made in United States" sweater yesterday and went looking for more information on the company that made it.
Came across this interesting website which lists many items " Still Made in the USA.

It breaks my heart to think of all the American companies which used to employ people in meaningful job and are now gone.

1. people wonder why the stock market flourishes and we seem to be 'recovering' but
are losing jobs in buckets. It's because our economy has become one in which we push money around a table. We don't seem to make anything anymore. This is why the banks are 'too big to fail'.... because our economy is just a smoke screen!! would have been better to take that money and loan it to small businesses that create jobs. and of course to take the burden of healthcare off their hands too.... but at the very least we could have helped boost the small businesses instead of the big friggin banks.

thanks for posting!

I'm growing really averse to seeing "Made in China" on things that I buy.
