2. I really enjoyed that -- thanks! I never knew that Halloween came to
our shores with the Irish immigrants. I'm surprised my dad (Irish) didn't take credit for it, he credited everything else cool to the Irish. :7

3. My late husband was Irish and they certainly as a people kept a lot of their pagan
culture and mythology in spite of St. Patrick turning them all into Christians. I always loved the lore surrounding sacred wells and how the Catholic Church put them under the patronage of various local saints who had formerly been Irish gods and goddesses.

6. Thanks for the memories.
DH and I watched "Father Ted" when it was on here "religiously". As a couple of not so good Catholics we loved the send up.
