South Carolina (Republican) Asst. Attorney General Found in Graveyard With Call Girl
Source: AP

South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster is in the news again, but not over anything Craigslist-related. No, it's because he fired deputy assistant attorney general Roland Corning, 66, who was found in a cemetary with an apparent call girl.

Roland Corning, also a former state legislator (R-Richmond), was pulled over by officer Michael Wines at 3:15 PM Monday, according to a Columbia Police Department report. Earlier, Wines had witnessed the Ford Explorer driven by Corning pull into a secluded portion of Elmwood Cemetery that Wines had "received past complaints in ref. to illegal activity, i.e. sex acts and drug abuse," Wines wrote in his report.

When Corning beat a hasty retreat, Wines got on the radio and eventually Corning was stopped by another officer. When questioned by Wines, Corning and the woman, identified only as an employee of the Platinum Plus Gentleman's Club, gave conflicting statements. Questioned further, Corning flashed his deputy asst. attorney general's badge.

That eventually got Corning out of an arrest, but not out of hot water. To verify his ID, Wines called his wife, who worked in the state attorney general's office. She verified his ID, but also reported the incident to Deputy Attorney General John McIntosh, who forwareded the information to Attorney General Henry McMaster. Two hours later, Corning was looking for a new job.

4. Call girls pay visits to cemeteries?
If I were a hooker on the streets, I might do business in a cemetery. However, if I were a call girl, I'd insist on a hotel room.

Why the niceties with this guy, making it sound like he was with a high class prostitute and not the 20 dollar blow job kind? Now I'm not putting any 20 dollar blow job giving prostitutes down. It is what it is. But there is a difference don't you agree?

Too Nice (unregistered) says:

Hustled by Whore
I agreed to a dance which was okay. After the dance she started begging for another one. I tried being very polite and said no, I only wanted one. She said hold on a minute she wanted to show me a "trick". Next thing I knew she had flipped onto my chest with her crotch in my face. I had two choices, wait for her to get off me or push her off. Once she finally dismounted, I repeated that I only want one dance and she demanded to be paid for a second dance since she had already started. I said "No" I was quite clear I only wanted one dance. She said that I did not say no after she started which I could not do since she was sitting on my face.

I went to the club to relax and left pissed off with almost all of the money I had planned to spend that night in my pocket. I have never, ever met such an aggressive, lying stripper/whore.

17. "too nice" complains that the woman he bought is a "lying stripper/whore?" WTF?!
These guys' fundamental pornographic delusions are stunning. This self-described "polite" guy feels victimized because the human being he feels entitled to buy isn't playing her role properly. Maybe she felt--imagine!--the right to exploit him equally--to disregard his humanity too as a way of leveling the playing field a bit--but she becomes an "aggressive, lying stripper/whore" while he's just an aw shucks nice guy who wasn't able to spend all the "money in his pocket" getting females to gyrate their naked bodies on and around him in the ways to which he felt entitled.

And an asst attorney general bought the body of a girl who could still be in high school? Who the hell do these men think they are? They seem to think that whatever gives them an erection is a fundamental right, and the universe should be re-arranged to help them reach an orgasm, the rights of others--mostly women and children-- be damned. Are they afraid of women their own age? WTF is WRONG WITH THESE MEN?!!?

24. What's wrong with them?
What's wrong is that these men believe that normal, healthy sexual expression is a filthy, dirty SIN!!!!!

They repress and repress until those "sinful" urges can't be contained anymore and what should be normal, healthy sexual expression comes out as something twisted, ugly, nasty and dysfunctional.

ALL of this is BLAMED on women or blamed on the victim or blamed on the partner or blamed on society, or whatever.

NEVER do any of these hypocrites take "personal responsibility" for their sexual hang-ups.

These men really hate women, and want to dominate, punish and control all of them.

8. I thought this HAD to be a prank, but...
...there it all is in The State newspaper. It's sordid but recommended reading just for the total jaw-droppingness of it all. :wow:

http://www.thestate.com/politics/story/1002279.html

Wines wrote in his report that two people were in the car - Corning and an unnamed 18-year-old female, an "employee of Platinum Plus Gentlemen's Club."

(SNIP)

"At that point I asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, which he stated no and gave consent to search," Wines wrote.

The search revealed a sex enhancement drug and some sex toys. According to the report, Corning told Wines he had a prescription for the medication and the other items were always in the car "just in case."

"Always in the car"?! "Just in case"?!

And a little something from The Washington Monthly:

http://www2.washingtonmonthly.com/

Josh Marshall added, "In happier days, Corning was an ardent pro-life politician best known for introducing a law in the South Carolina legislature that would have made the subdermal contraceptive device Norplant mandatory for women on welfare. Even then though he was no stranger to controversy. In 1994, during a floor debate with pro-choice state Rep. June Shissias, Corning asked Shissias whether she herself had ever had an abortion. Later he admitted the remark was 'probably insensitive' but said he was 'sick and tired of the women representatives in this body acting like, just because we're men and male, we don't know anything about women.'"

I still think South Carolina hasn't quite caught up with Florida -- where I was born and raised -- in the Most Ridiculous State contest, but it's getting there.

9. Look at this little article
CG Holding Corp. Announces Completion of Purchase of Platinum..

Plus Gentlemen's Club in Miami, Florida Establishes Presence in Fast Growing Miami Market
DENVER, Oct 30, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- VCG Holding Corp. (AMEX:PTT), a growing and leading consolidator and operator of adult nightclubs, today announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Platinum Plus Gentlemen's Club in Miami, Florida. The letter of intent for this acquisition was previously announced in a press release dated June 11, 2007. The Company took over operations as of yesterday.
The Company purchased 100% of the stock in Kenja II Corp., the owner of Platinum Plus, for cash consideration of approximately $6.8 million. The acquisition was funded with $2.0 million in available cash and through issuance of promissory notes. In the previous 12 months the club generated revenues of approximately $5.0 million and operating profits on a pro forma basis in excess of approximately $1.7 million.
Troy Lowrie, Chairman and CEO of VCG Holding, stated, "We are pleased to have completed another bolt-on acquisition that should be immediately accretive to our Company. The Miami club is very accessible, located at a high traffic interchange just south of highways 75 and 826. We are excited about establishing our presence in Miami because it is one of the fastest growing markets for adult entertainment. While we purchased the club for 4.0 times operating profit (3.8 times EBITDA), we feel it was an extremely attractive purchase price considering the growth opportunities we see in the market. The multiple is higher than our target of 3.5 times operating profit, because of the way the seller wanted to allocate the purchase price of the Portland, Maine and Miami, Florida clubs. Based on a more equitable allocation, our multiple for Miami would have been 3.3 times operating profits and 3.1 times EBITDA. The pipeline of acquisition remains robust."
About VCG Holding Corp.
VCG Holding Corp. is an owner, operator and consolidator of adult nightclubs throughout the United States. The Company currently owns 17 adult nightclubs and one upscale dance lounge. The night clubs are located in Indianapolis, IN, St. Louis, MO, Denver, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, Raleigh, NC, Minneapolis, MN, Louisville, KY, Portland, ME, and Miami, FL.

Edited on Fri Oct-30-09 01:45 PM by Ichingcarpenter
I think the collective average IQ of this nation has gone down over the past
twenty years.

What used to be 100 as the mean is now around 95 due to
environmental, FDA, junk food, TV, and Faux news causations.

The average american idiot

27. I can not disagree. Watch any popular TV program for 30 minutes-
if you can tolerate it- and recall all those people who thought Bush II was qualified to be President. You have some idea of the massive slide toward stupid our country has taken. If you compare news programs today with news programs of, say 40 years ago-1969- you would be appalled at the decline of the intelligence of the presenters and programming and of the lack of depth and real significance of the "news" today.
This is in the face of improved communications, the internet, and the money spent to improve education.
Are the GOPers dumbing us down on purpose?
Do really smart people support Republicans?

23. Sounds like the officer jumped the gun a little - if he'd waited a bit, there
might have been an actual crime committed (not to mention the entertaining tale of an R politician spending a few hours in a holding cell sporting a viagra-stiffie...).

I wonder if the firing might have been a bit premature as well - if he didn't actually commit a crime...
