Sarah Palin pisses off Iowa wingnuts while Dems piss off everyone
Edited on Thu Oct-29-09 11:25 PM by Cyrano
Politicians go to Iowa to get noticed among people who control the Iowa caucuses. But it seems that Sarah (or her advisors) seemed to think this was a good spot to pick up a $100,000 speaker's fee.

Right now, Palin's pals are claiming that they never asked for money.

Whatever. It's just nice to know that there are many outraged Iowa fringe nuts.

But I guess what really bothers me is that, while the Republican Party is busy committing suicide, Dems in the house and senate have opted to do the same thing by screwing us on health care.

Napoleon said, "Never interrupt the enemy when they are busy making a mistake." And although Sarah Palin's very existence in politics seems to be a mistake, the Democratic Party seems to be trying to outdo her.

1. Ever read 'the Art of War'?
Sun Tzu talks about sending spies into the enemy camp to cause disruption and causing diversions to divert attention. I think while the Republican were out paying off the Tea Baggers he sent some of his lackeys around to make sure some 'blue dogs' stayed in line.

2. Sun Tzu didn't foresee the Democratic Party
Will Rogers said, "I'm not a member of any organized political party. I'm a Democrat."

And it's been said, many times, that trying to organize Democrats is like trying to herd cats.

Tea Baggers, Deathers, Birthers, and every other flavor of wingnut/fringe nut out there can save whatever they're spending on trying to infiltrate and screw up the Democratic Party. NO HELP NEEDED. We Dems are masters at screwing ourselves.

4. Don't mess with Iowa, Sarah...
Edited on Fri Oct-30-09 12:48 AM by CoffeeCat
I love living in Iowa because of the people. They are so real and so genuine. Neighbors are helpful
and friendly and people really are authentic and incredibly wise. I had to stop jogging on one of the local
secondary highways, because every five minutes someone would ask me if I was ok, and if I needed a ride
somewhere.

Don't forget--we just legalized gay marriage and Obama won the Iowa caucuses, when he lagged behind Hillary and Edwards
in the national polls.

We think for ourselves. We expect honesty. We are genuine, thoughtful people.

If any state can ferret out a phony--it's Iowa. If Sarah Palin thinks she can saunter into our state and start
up her stupid antics and phony baloney--then she should just skip Iowa like Rudi Giuliani did. People won't put
up with the lies and the nonsense.

There is a contingent of religious-right wackaloons here, but they will still demand that Palin be decent and
honest. If Palin brings her signature brand of classless, hillbilly monkey business into our state--she
can just forget it!

5. Howard Dean said today that both the current House and Senate plans are
"very, very good bills" that will make a real difference.

When all this is done, I think "everyone" will be very happy.
