It’s a great alternative to screaming. I’ll explain.

Today, as every day, I looked from my desk out on a city park inhabited by homeless people. Driving home I had to drive by another park in the civic center inhabited by these assholes: http://www.teapartyexpress.org/

I had to avoid cars, some nice SUVs, driven by apparent maniacs all atwitter about their teabagging. This was on a day that we had positive signs the recovery is working. Today our largest local corporation reported its most profitable quarter in over a year and its stock has grown tenfold in the past three months.

It was a day I watched video of my president walking up the ramp of a C-17 eighteen times, once for each of the fallen heroes he welcomed home in flag draped coffins. These teabaggers had no problem with all the money we pissed away getting these kids killed and I doubt these tragic losses were on their minds at all.

These idiots picked the wrong day to showcase their selfishness and ignorance.

Never mind. I’m going to scream anyhow. I hate these bastards.

The Tea Party Express tours have been economically productive for Bob and Ellen Prescott, of Jacksonville, Fla.

The couple joined the Express in San Diego and sell homemade pins decrying tax increases and bearing the face of Sarah Palin.

"We traveled around 5,000 miles so far on this tour," Bob Prescott said. "These protests have done a lot of good for the country."

The Prescotts said the Tea Party gatherings are getting larger and more popular than campaign stops made by Arizona Sen. John McCain during his ill-fated run at the presidency last year.

"At a stop like this in Medford, we'll sell about 30 to 40 buttons," Ellen Prescott said. "But that hopefully will increase as we continue across the country."

It’s a shame that the Tribune had to treat the Tea Bag Circus like real news. A quick check of their web site reveals some pretty questionable backers and participants. One of their partners, Free Republic, has been the online haven for some high profile wingnuts including the murderer of Dr. George Tiller and the Holocaust Museum shooter. Kenneth Gladney, their alleged SEIU beating victim, has used these events to panhandle for his supposed medical expenses. We all know how much good Howard Jarvis has done for the state of California. Next time a bus load of traveling Sarah Palin pin salesmen comes to town, treat it for what it is, a freak show.
