BENSALEM, Pa. (Oct. 27) -- Police in a Philadelphia suburb they've arrested a woman who offered sex for World Series tickets. Bensalem police say 43-year-old Susan Finkelstein was arrested on Tuesday.

Investigators say Finkelstein posted an ad on the Web site Craigslist that stated she was a die-hard Phillies fan and buxom blonde in desperate need of two World Series tickets.

Police say her posting went on to say the price was negotiable and that "I'm the creative type! Maybe we can help each other!"

An undercover officer responded to the ad. Police say Finkelstein offered to perform various sex acts in exchange for World Series tickets.

She is charged with prostitution and related offenses. Her listed phone number was disconnected, and it couldn't immediately be determined if she had an attorney.

8. A Fool & Their Money...

In 2005 my beloved White Sox made it to the series...something I had waited close to 50 years to happen and was all ready to plunk down money for tickets...until I looked at the prices. The lowest tickets were $1,000 and went as high as 5gs for a box seat and 20gs for a skybox. When the crosstown cubbies made the playoffs last year, I saw ticket prices as high as 60gs...and knew several who plunked down 2gs to watch their favorites get skunked out of the playoffs.

Instead of spending the money I went and got a Hi-Def TV...got to see all the games and didn't have to fight lines for food or the bathroom.

Now I could image the "services" rendered for these tickets...would she have offered a "little more" for a third base line seat vs. one in the upper deck? Heck in "my day", we were able to find such services under the stands. :rofl:

not that it is right. I recall having a date where a guy asked me out as a friend, took me to a place where he got free tickets and bought me dessert and a glass of wine and told me how dissappointed he was I wasn't going to sleep with him as a result of him showing me a nice time.

I remember just standing there looking at him like he was out of his mind. I then told our lab partner the next day (a guy) who called him "smooth operaator" for the rest of the semester.

I don't see anything wrong with what she did. True, she was stupid and could have ended up in a dangerous situation (hurt or killed) but that's the risk many people take when meeting strangers online. It seems kind of hypocritical to be outraged about her actions when people can post personal ads, meet up with a complete stranger and have sex that same night.
