The inescapable fact that NOBODY in Congress can bring to the American people
Edited on Tue Oct-27-09 05:34 PM by Horse with no Name
How many $2-$3k procedures have the insurance companies denied simply because they could?
Many of them therapeutic, many of them diagnostic, many of them might have saved a life or two.

So, what we are demonstrating is a frugal company that is careful about spending their resources.

Except, that they aren't.

These same "frugal businessmen" have been spending $1.4 MILLION DOLLARS PER DAY to keep anyone from denying them the right to DENY YOU HEALTH CARE! $1.4 MILLION DOLLARS PER DAY.

That money is derived from 333 DENIED "LIFE SAVING or LIFE ENHANCING" $3k PROCEDURES PER DAY. FUCKING BLOOD MONEY. And many in Congress are lining their pockets with it.

I wonder how Max Baucus is enjoying his proceeds from the transplant that was denied to one of our fellow citizens? I wonder how Kent Conrad is enjoying spending his proceeds that were only available because a woman was denied a mammogram or a child that couldn't get chemotherapy because the "people that could" deemed it experimental?

3. They sleep like babies because they have no empathy for any but themselves. They have been bribed.
Bribery of public officials is illegal in this country. When are we going to start enforcing our laws?

4. I guess that's why they don't call it bribery. They call it lobbying.

6. Yep. If there was ANY seriousness about an effort to bring the
American people a serious bill that was going to be beneficial, the hogs would have been evicted from the trough during the first cull. But instead, the folks that wanted to talk about single-payer were.
There was NEVER to be a serious effort to help out Americans.
Just another money-grab.

7. Another sad spectacle of what used to be a great nation.
I can remember the thrill of growing up in an America where things were changing.

Granted, it took the force of a Kennedy being assassinated to help LBJ get the Civil Rights Act passed. But he did not waste time being concillatory with the segregationists when he wanted it done - he cajoled, threatened and made SURE the Civil Rights Act passed.

Instead, Obama did nothing but run around from town HAll Meeting to Town Hall meeting, offering a wimpish, "Gee I was saying that the public option is jsut one of many tools, and it may be that we get a bill that doesnn't even have it."

Single Payer Universal Health Care is the best solution. Obama even saidthat back when he was running for the Seante. ANd he didn't add in any qualifiers, other than we would need a Democratic majority in the Houses nad a Dme in the White House.

5. I'll say it.
Eric Holder needs to start to do some investigating yesterday. There needs to be some people going to jail and I'm talking high officials. It's plainly obvious. 70% plus should be making some people some these dips shake in their boots, but a lot of them know how to game the system. The only way we can keep is through forums like this. We need a Republican in the White House THEODORE ROOSEVELT!!!!!
