Newt Gingrich: Doug Hoffman support a 'mistake'

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1009/28730.html

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is warning conservative activists (Politco obviously can't identify them as "teabaggers") that their support for a third-party candidate in a key upcoming New York special election is a “mistake.”

In a video captured last week and posted on YouTube Friday, Gingrich told tea party organizer Lisa Miller at a book-signing event that conservatives are inadvertently hindering the cause by backing Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman over Dede Scozzafava, the Republican Party’s nominee.

“I just think it is a mistake for the conservative movement to think splitting in the special election is a smart idea,” Gingrich said. “If we give that seat to the Democrats, shame on us.”

This afternoon, former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich, leader of the corporate-funded American Solutions for Winning the Futures (ASWF), blasted an e-mail to his supporters with a reminder to attend the protests, along with a "Toolkit" of talking points. Gingrich's ASWF is funded by polluters and helped orchestrate the "Drill Here, Drill Now" campaign last summer. ASWF has been an official "partner" in the tea party effort since at least March.

11. A closer look at Tea Baggers --Perot Voters of '92. Fiscal Hawks
and Nafta Haters. "That great sucking sound==American Jobs
being sucked into Mexico". Perot was right, as it turns out.

The Tea Baggers are not identifying with Republicans not
Democrats--Bingo Trade Policy makes Dems and Repubs indistinguishable.

With all Beck's effort to bring them into Republican Party; they
are still rather indpendent group.

13. Perot was right
and I was a victim of the news media trivializing him

I also scoffed at the anti-WTO demonstrators but they were absolutely right as well

15. The more Republican (giveaway to Insurance Industry) the Health Care bill looks....
The more the Teabaggers will be shunned by Republicans.

The Teabaggers have served their purpose to put on a show against the Democrats and REAL Health Care Reform, so now the Republicans are going to throw them under the bus.
