A Christian group based in Ann Arbor has filed a lawsuit against the Road Commission of Macomb County after it allegedly took down a Christmas display on a road median in Warren.

The commission had expressed concerns about the nativity display after complaints from a group that supports separation of church and state, according to the lawsuit filed Friday by the Thomas More Law Center.

The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court and has been assigned to Judge Gerald Rosen.
