Talking Points Memo and Larisa Alexandrovna uncover the latest Fox News lie. Larisa argues it is a major journalistic ethics violation. Rachel Maddow on Her Show Tonight - The difference between fox and the news is not expression of opinion. Fox is actively promoting and organizing anti-government protests:LARISAhttp://www.atlargely.com/atlargely/2009/10/it-is-official-fox-fabricated-the-denied-access-story-.htmlOctober 23, 2009
It is official, Fox fabricated the "denied access" story ...Following up on
this post, here is what actually happened (RE:
hero to Fox" but rather had to use a single camera crew due to logistics.
3. Despite the facts, Fox and the glue-sniffing idiots who defend them, spread word far and wide of the "Nixonian" (interesting how that term suddenly popped up everywhere and all at once, as though a memo had been issued) war against them and
Obama's "enemy list" bullshit.
So in short, Fox fabricated a story to make themselves look like victims of a fabricated war on them being waged by the evil Commie Obama. Now tell me, is that journalism? And they wonder why they are seen as propaganda?
Stephen Glass would have more credibility with me than these opportunistic feeders and spreaders. At least he was a lone culprit, not an entire organization built around distortion, lies, and ugly rhetoric:
TPMDC spoke with a network bureau chief this afternoon familiar with the situation who was surprised that Fox was portraying the news as networks coming to its rescue.
"If any member had been excluded it would have been same thing, it has nothing to do with Fox or the White House or the substance of the issues," the bureau chief said. "It's all for one and one for all."
A Treasury spokesperson added: "There was no plot to exclude Fox News, and they had the same interview that their competitors did. Much ado about absolutely nothing."
It should be official by now, but if it is not, let me spell it out for you. A reputable "news" organization does NOT fabricate stories as part of a fabricated larger story in which they themselves are the fictional victim. A reputable "news" organization does not attack the leader of the nation for the color of his skin, his middle name, or conspire with a political party to smear the POTUS via ad hominem attacks. A reputable "news" organization DOES NOT allow the business side to dictate how a story should be reported. Fox News is NOT a reputable news outlet. But I did defend their right to access and I would still defend it. That is the difference between ethics and the political prostitution that Fox passes off as journalism.
TALKING POINTS MEMOhttp://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/10/wh-were-happy-to-exclude-fox-but-didnt-yesterday-with-feinberg-interview.phpWH: We're Happy To Exclude Fox, But Didn't Yesterday With Feinberg InterviewChristina Bellantoni | October 23, 2009, 6:09PM
Adding to the Fox News v. White House feud today is a dust-up over an interview with pay czar Ken Feinberg. Turns out, it was a sort of miscommunication, but the White House adds that if they had left Fox out it would be a case of "Not that there's anything wrong with that!"
The version Fox has pushed all day is that the network was excluded from an interview roundtable with Feinberg yesterday, and that bureau chiefs from ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN came to Fox's defense.
TPMDC dug into it, and here's what happened.
Feinberg did a pen and pad with reporters to brief them on cutting executive compensation. TV correspondents, as they do with everything, asked to get the comments on camera. Treasury officials agreed and made a list of the networks who asked (Fox was not among them).
But logistically, all of the cameras could not get set up in time or with ease for the Feinberg interview, so they opted for a round robin where the networks use one pool camera. Treasury called the White House pool crew and gave them the list of the networks who'd asked for the interview.

EXCLUSIVE
We reported earlier that when Fox News was banned from a round-robin interview with Obama administration “Pay Czar” Kenneth Feinberg, the bureau chiefs of the other major networks banded together to thwart the White House. Now, Mediaite has learned exclusively that the Treasury Department, who set up the interviews, denies the story.

Reporting on the story has been sketchy thus far, with Fox News being the only network to report it so far. In their report, they also fail to make it clear that it was the Treasury Department, not the White House, who was responsible for setting up the interviews. Neither Fox News nor the Treasury Department has provided copies of the bulletins that were sent to the press pool, which Politico reports were missing Fox’s name. Politico also reports that Treasury contacted the White House about the omission, and in a statement, the White House told Politico “The fact that Major Garrett conducted and interview with Ken Feinberg at a time when all the other networks did speaks for itself…”
TV Newser points out, via an anonymous source, that a decision by the other nets to skip the interviews may have been more financial than principled:
The pool is paid for by and rotates between ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox, and NBC, allowing each network to do quick interviews using the same camera crew. If the White House were to exclude one of the members, the other networks would have to provide their own crew for the interview.

Update: The CBS Evening News ran a segment on this story tonight, including a snippet of a Chip Reid White House standup in which Reid says, “All the networks said that’s it, you’ve crossed the line.”

(From TWD)
I have three words for this interview (And if you can't hear it, trust me, you aren't missing a thing at all)
They lied again.
Hahahaha. Shocking, right?

Well, I'll let Christina Bellantoni reporting say it all. The clowns at Fixed Propaganda Comedian Network have used this as its latest salvo all day today, in terms of the "WHITE HOUSE WAR ON US" , by saying they were excluded out of an interview with pay czar Ken Feinberg yesterday, and that, (GET THIS) all the other networks came in defense for Fixed being left out in the cold.
Boo hoo hoo.
Only, it was a lie:
Feinberg did a pen and pad with reporters to brief them on cutting executive compensation. TV correspondents, as they do with everything, asked to get the comments on camera. Treasury officials agreed and made a list of the networks who asked (Fox was not among them).
But logistically, all of the cameras could not get set up in time or with ease for the Feinberg interview, so they opted for a round robin where the networks use one pool camera. Treasury called the White House pool crew and gave them the list of the networks who'd asked for the interview.
The network pool crew noticed Fox wasn't on the list, was told that they hadn't asked and the crew said they needed to be included. Treasury called the White House and asked top Obama adviser Anita Dunn. Dunn said yes and Fox's Major Garrett was among the correspondents to interview Feinberg last night.
HAHAHAHA.
You get that. The clowns did it again.
What shows how much losers they are is the fact that they suck at even lying. They can't even lie decently......AT ALL.

Bellantoni writes in the rest of the article that the White house will not backed down on the comedy Network still going to war on them with their feeble effort.
