Rep. Joe "you lie" Wilson's wife has swine flu
Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) is reluctantly going to try to keep his distance from his wife this weekend since she was diagnosed with swine flu on Monday, he told The Hill in an interview.

Wilson was upset that he wasn’t going to spend as much quality time as usual with his wife, Roxanne Wilson, over the weekend out of fear that he would catch the H1N1 virus from her.

“She’s doing pretty good,” he said.He said he planned on getting the H1N1 vaccination in the near future but only after “the majority of the American people” receive their vaccinations.

Vaccine arrived on Capitol Hill on Wednesday and is being administered by the Office of the Attending Physician according to the guidelines offered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), with priority given to pregnant women, small children, and people with pre-existing illnesses.

14. My dad was very ill with an unknown infection about 5 years before he died
It started with a sore on his leg that wouldn't respond to any treatment and just grew bigger. It got so bad that he had to be hospitalized. By that time he was running a high fever and was placed in isolation in intensive care.

All the doctors told my mom (who was elderly but in fairly good health at the time) to stay away from him. My cousin is a doctor and she came to see my dad, looked at his chart and called me to tell me to convince my mom to stay away from the hospital until the infection was under control.

It was such a bizarre infection that doctors from other cities flew in to examine my dad and propose treatment. No one was allowed in his room except doctors and nurses and they wore masks and protective clothing.

My mom was banished to the waiting room in the intensive care ward and refused to leave the hospital for over a week. Her place was there, as close as she could be, to the man she had been married to for nearly 50 years. She never once considered not being as near to him as they would allow her to be.

I would do the same for my husband.

Joe Wilson is a selfish prick.

8. I hope she recovers fully and quickly. If I were sick with this, my s.o. would
insist on being with me, cooking, taking care of me, running for vernor's and Tylenol, whatever we needed. I cannot imagine this stay away, I ain't had my shot yet, excuse.
