So .... all this talk about how wrong it is of the White House to be doing this to Poor Fox Nooz
All day long the punditocracy has been discussing this, even as it is an issue they invented so they can talk about it.

Mostly they're saying how bad it is. They're all quoting Lamar Alexander's "enemies list redux" crap. Yadda yadda yadda. One of the more ...... uh ...... enlightened among the echo squad postulated that there is simply no need for it. He cited the recent polls showing repubican self-identification at 20% and that independents, by an 80/20 split, say they do not trust repubicans to make decisions that are good for the country. That fuckwit, Jake Tapper (who really ought to admit that he'd love to be a Foxer himself) stood up and defended Fox as a "sister" network.

Anyway, it seems to me that now is **exactly** the right time to go after Fox. Poison the well now. Cut off their legs. Step on them. Make them a laughing stock. Make it such that citation of Fox by any citizen is universally met with gales of guffaws accompanied by emphatic finger pointing.

I don't know who decided to start this war, but whoever it is deserves our appreciation and a raise!

Who's the woman who was recently hired in the WH for communications? I wonder if she has anything to do with it.

Dunn! Anita Dunn... that's her name.

3. It's pretty obvious who "decided to start this war", and it isn't anyone in the White House
FOX started the ugliness.

7. With FN being an arm of the Republican Party it's perfectly
valid for the WH to rip on it. If they can call out Cheney or any other republican, they can call out Fox "News".

8. Republican channel
I always say that Fox News is the 24/7 Republican Infomerical channel. I heard Olbermann the other day also call it the republican informerical channel..maybe that name will stick. Because THAT is exactly what they are.

10. Call their stupid asses out!!
Hell yes! It's high time to call bullshit what it is... bullshit. Fox being considered an actual news outlet ranks right up there with referring to Palin as a scholar, or even educated for that matter. I just hope more advertisers start speaking the universal language (money) and abandon Fox entirely, not just during certain shows.

14. I thought Rachel put it perfectly...
...when she said Fox is different from a news network because it is actively organizing anti-government protests. It's working against the U.S. government. I think just stating it that way makes it clear that they're anti-American.
