Fox is just smarter than other news outlets
re: The White House tries to ace out Fox from an interview with Pay Czar Kenneth Feinberg but the other members of the pool comes http://blogs.lancasteronline.com/smartremarks/2009/10/23/fox-is-smarter/">riding to Fox's defense:

once again, this is the media sticking up for its brethren… not quite understanding that Fox would never, under any circumstances, do the same for them.

Did Fox go to bat for the New York Times when the Bush administration was talking about prosecuting the Times for running stories on the NSA wiretapping? No? Gee, I wonder why that was…

And didn't Fox just run print ads ripping the rest of the media for “missing the story” of the Fox News-promoted tea parties?

The rest of the media doesn’t understand that Fox is as intent on taking down its “sister organizations” as it is the White House. But this just shows you how stupid, collectively, the media is.

You want to cut my throat? Here, take this knife!

Ah, but maybe Fox will return the favor next time we have a Republican in the White House.

Right.

Maybe Fox’s dominance over its rivals is appropriate. It’s obviously way smarter than these other networks are.

4. Fox News is corporate just like all the rest of them......including MSNBC who is owned by GE
and since the Republicans are the tools of corporate interest,
corporate media organization supports them and dishes out their talking points, period.

Is Fox smarter?
No...simply that many of their viewers just don't have a clue
that they are being hosed by corporate interests.

5. Smart in the sense that faux taps into
the pocketbooks of ignorant Americans who don't give a damn about our country. Yeah faux, in that regard, is sly as a fox. Conservatives don't give a damn about the truth, ergo they tune into faux. Ignorance, hypocrisy, mendacity, selfishness, all conservative values, all keys to faux' success. If ignorance disappeared in America so would faux "news" and so would right wing radio. Those who make a living on such outlets know it so they feed the ignorance which feeds their bottom line. Any questions?

6. They aren't smarter journalism if they aren't even journalism. Ailes is an adman, not a newsman.
Ailes made his bones by creating the "New Nixon" in 1968. He's an adman selling the Republican Party on TV and making horrendous amounts of advertising dollars. I see no reason why they should have some sacrosanct position in the news pool.
