113. For me, it isn't about prison terms or punishment, it is about

clarifying the law. Everyone makes mistakes. I am not in favor of vengeance. I think we need prosecutions in order to clarify the law. I am not vindictive. This is about making sure our government does not torture ever again, not about getting back at someone. And the only way to make sure that future agents and presidents know that they can't torture or authorize torture is to prosecute and get this into the courts. Congress can't even know whether it needs to pass a new law unless the courts issue decisions on this. Right now the whole issue is limbo and up to any president's discretion.
