Wake-Up Call: When peroxide is outlawed, only outlaws will have peroxide
Will another common product require ID to purchase? Peroxide is used for more than bleaching hair. It use to be a common product in most homes. Maybe it still is.

Wake-Up Call: When peroxide is outlawed, only outlaws will have peroxide

Yesterday, President Barack Obama visited the Manhattan FBI office that led the investigation, and praised the agents for their work. But the job's not done yet: New York Senator Chuck Schumer is calling for a nationwide "awareness" program on sales of peroxide, which Zazi picked up in bulk at an Aurora beauty-supply company. He told the clerk that he had a lot of girlfriends in need of hair care -- but concentrated peroxide can also be used to make a liquid bomb known as TATP, and plans for the device were allegedly found on Zazi's computer.

It could have been the ultimate blonde bombshell...

1. Teh stooped is growin'
You have any idea just how diluted store bought H2O2 is? At best it's only 3% - it's mostly water, not to useful for anything but mouthwash, scraped knees and bleaching your hair.

2. Oh, no. Schumer's playing the Fear card?
Making your own 3% from concentrate is more economical, and 6% works better for most of those purposes anyway, particularly as mouthwash. It "tingles" a little more.

What the hell did they give us those grade-school math classes about dilutions, if every damn time we "stooped" folks find a way to save a penny or two and actually use those lessons, our leaders give that savings margin away to another frat boy or girl with college loans to pay off.

4. Personally? I'm more worried about the Orly Taitz factor.
Look what too much of that stuff does to your brain:

5. There are concentrations of 30% or greater available.
Available, for example, for chemists.

30% and higher's pretty dangerous. I think it's already tightly controlled.
