Is the Daily Show on vacation?
Yesterday was a rerun - from Thursday, but still, a rerun...

4. I don't get it. They were just on vacation.
Might be because they're competing with baseball playoffs??? Seems silly to me if so.

5. Or perhaps either of the two hosts got sick
one does not run, the other does not either. And I hope it is the playoffs, it wasn't announced though

6. Nope, it's been six weeks - believe it or not.
They go off for a week every six weeks or so, three weeks before labor day, at least two weeks at Christmas, maybe more. But you can count on it about every six weeks.

12. I have often wondered, about Letterman and Leno - when he was on the Tonight
show that instead of having guests, the way Johnny Carson used to have - and gave both their national exposures - they just have reruns.

Which is cheaper... reruns or guest hosts?

9. Last Thursday, Stewart and Colbert wished each other
a good break and one of them said they'd be off for a week.

I thought that it may have to do with the November "sweeps" - if still exists - where the regular networks run a few reruns last week of October to be fresh with new episodes for November.

13. It would seem so...even Letterman and Ferguson have been repeats this week.
Is this some new programming schedule that we don't know about. I am assuming Stewart and Colbert will be repeats for the entire week... sadly.
