Please tell me again how President Obama supports a strong "public option" , and I should not worry.
that it will not be in the final "reform" bill. I must say I am again losing "hope".Please reassure me again of the "chess game" that "we" are sure to win. Anyone?

1. He supports a strong public option. But he won't push for it. So you should worry.

Wish I could be more encouraging.

I'm still hoping he has one of the "six moves ahead of everyone" chess moves up his sleeve. But frankly, I think he just caved in.

3. Yea, that is what I think as well.
Without a STRONG public option (not state-by state, NO trigger) the bill must die. We will be stuck for many years with what ever "reform" we get.

2. Well, per paragraph #29 in your sig line...
.
" This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing Government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it."

There...

but I just wish he would fight for it a little harder. Can't help you, because I'm too busy trying to convince myself.

16. Sorry. Just stating the obvious.
Does anyone actually think some type of reform is going to come to pass that actually REMOVES profits from powerful corporations in any substantial way? Dream on.

This is America. Profits Over People is the true religion.

14. The pony reserved just for you rises up from its holding pen and cries out for you to believe with
all your heart. "If hope is lost, then all is lost," it cries. Do not betray your pony. Believe. The "public option" will soon be ours.

18. Until we have Democratic President/Congress who is willing to say to FUCK YOU
to the corporations, the lobbyist and the special interest on the hill, we are always going to be struggling.

Their has to be enough fortitude for people to do the right thing, to spit in the devils eye and say fuck you! As always, doing the right thing is always the hardest, but some one needs to have the spine to do it or we will all continue to be at the mercy of corporations.

So until then, is there is any hope?

21. Yep. It's not for us to poor little munchkins
to try to second guess what's best for us. We have an all knowing all seeing president who has a plan for us, but he moves in mysterious ways his high priests to inform.

Oh wait, my bad. got 'im mixed up with jaysus again.

Rule #1 of being a populist: support the populace.

24. Log off DU and call your Senator again.
There is only so much pushing Obama can do. The Senate needs more pressure applied by the people. You are a person, you have a Senator. Call again. and again. That is what I am doing.

27. I have a tool Senator too. The other one is Public Option raring to go. As to Obama
he pushes in town halls in speeches and no doubt behind the scenes. House is willing and able. Senate is the problem. However Sherrod Brown, Tom Harkin, and others seem pretty optimistic.
