DCCC touts best-ever quarter in online, grassroots fundraising

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is touting what it says was its best-ever quarter this year in online, grassroots fundraising.

The DCCC raised $5.3 million over the past three months in small-dollar donations on the Web, solicited by e-mails, petitions, ads and other outreach methods.

That sum surpasses all online fundraising by the DCCC during all of 2007, the campaign committee said Thursday.

The donations typically ranged between $16 and $56, which the DCCC credited to frequent outreach to its over-4 million-strong e-mail list.

Additionally, the DCCC said it has doubled its number of Facebook and Twitter followers in the past three months.

I won't give the DSCC, DCCC, DNC of DFL a dime. What limited funds I can donate will go to progressive candidates - and only those who see single payer as the ultimate solution to the the health care mess.
