Rove blames U.S. allies for the shortage of military resources in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 (UPI) --

Karl Rove, top political adviser to former President George W. Bush, blamed U.S. allies Thursday for the shortage of military resources in Afghanistan.

Appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America," Rove said the Bush administration provided "appropriate" resources for the effort. He said he believes if U.S. generals had asked for more troops, they would have been provided.

"We felt, in the previous administration, that our coalition partners were not meeting their responsibilities," Rove said.

This jackass was a key part of the administration that took their eye off the ball in Tora Bora and sent US troops from Afghanistan (where they were needed) to Lord Cheney's great adventure in Iraq (where they were not). What a knucklehead! If they hadn't totally hosed up the mission in Afghanistan to fulfill the neocons' dreams of world conquest, we wouldn't be in the mess that we're in there today. What the hell does Turd Blossom know about troop levels?

I would love to have a chance at an in-person public rebuttal when he starts this shit.
