APF's Mercedes leave Montana
The last two Mercedes SUVs belonging to American Police Force left Montana on Tuesday.

Becky Shay, APF spokeswoman, said she personally handed the keys to the last two SUVs to Maziar Mafi, a California-based attorney who in the past has acted as legal council for the group.

At the beginning of October, Mafi removed himself from involvement in APF's bid to take over the 464-bed Two Rivers Detention Facility in Hardin. The jail has been sitting empty since construction wrapped up in September 2007.

Shay said the keys went to Mafi because he is a corporate guarantor on the vehicles. He was in Montana on Tuesday to pick them up and by Wednesday was back in Orange County, Calif., she said. It was unclear if the Mercedes were shipped or driven to California.

I thought those of you who followed this story closely would like to know. BTW, I think she still has a Mercedes.
