I find that strange...why would he care if the gun could be traced? I could understand if he was going to kill and try to get away, but he commited suicide. I wonder if his original plan was to kill his ex-girlfriend, but made a spur-of-the-moment decision to do himself at the end of the rampage?

Virginia's gun laws just got stricter, you can bet on it. What will warm my heart is the NRA spending millions of dollars in legal fees trying to prevent it from happening. :) Once the tide of public opinion turns against you, you're screwed NRA.
