Shell establishes ground in Iraq (17/04/07)

A spokesman for Shell stated that after 35 years the company is ready to return to Iraq. The Anglo-Dutch company is close to making a partnership with Turkey's TPAO to build a gas line and reestablish gas output in northern Kurdistan.

Shell's spokesman also went on to state that the pipeline will lay from the Turkish port of Ceyhan to an oil field in Kirkuk and that the company is committed to making a domestic energy infrastructure to strengthen Iraq's domestic power generation.

2. This is what it's been about all from the start...

when Iraq nationalized it's oil production it pissed off a lot of people in the oil industry.

the oil industry has a long memory when it comes to lost money. Just like the Iraqi's have a long memory when other countrys invade them.

this is not a good combination.

but as long as the oil corps have blackwater to protect them, the insurgency will continue.
