Calling Fox News "a wing of the Republican Party," the Obama administration is escalating its war of words against the news organization, and in recent weeks, the White House has begun using its taxpayer-funded blog to directly attack what it called "Fox lies."
Do you think it's appropriate for the president and staff to use the stature and power of the office -- including a taxpayer-funded blog -- to wage attacks on the press?

Is it appropriate for the White House to use the stature of the office and a taxpayer-funded blog to wage attacks on the press?
Yes. The president has every right to defend himself by any means against all attacks and opposing viewpoints, even from the press.
Yes. But if the president disagrees with the press he should respond directly, not through proxies, and not by using a taxpayer funded blog -- his staff just sound like whiners.
No. The press has a duty and right to present opposing viewpoints. The attacks demean the office of the president.
Undecided.
