I don't want to sound like a one issue voter, because I am not, and I do see the whole picture. I know this is one issue out of many huge, important issues. But this is about saving lives, and if that isn't enough motivation for Dem Leaders to do the right thing now -why would we expect them to do the right thing on any other legislation? And if that's the case, why even bother voting for them? You can say the Pubs are worse, but if the Dems try to get away with signing a bill without a public option, then we will have no choice but confront the cold hard reality that neither party gives a shit, and we the people will have to place our hopes somewhere else (hopefully in ourselves and our willingness to do whatever it takes to wrestle this country back from the corporations).
